As I mentioned on the Paid Surveys Page, you can actually make money by taking surveys online. However the amount that you make is usually just a few cents per survey.

This is a particular "scam" that I have fallen for myself. I signed up to a place to take surveys and make "$70 an hour"! Well it turns out that each survey that you take have a different value, and you have to qualify for the $70 surveys. For some strange reason I didn't qualify for the $70 surveys, I would only qualify for the .02 or .03 surveys (odd, isn't it!)

So I did this several times. They would send me surveys from time to time and they would add a penny here and a nickel there to my balance. They don't payout until your balance reaches $10 minimum. After 2 years of taking sporadic surveys I had only made about $7.00, and I finally gave it up.

However the key to making money taking surveys is to join more than one survey site at a time and take as many surveys as you can. I would only wait until they sent me surveys in email to take, there were plenty of other ones I could seek out. I don't know anyone making big bucks doing this, but hey, $10 a month is free gas money!

One thing to beware of....never, never, never, never, never give Paid Survey sites any money. There are literally thousands of sites who will pay you to take their surveys for free!
