Mystery Shopping Scams

Another scam to be aware of is the Mystery Shopping Scam. While there are indeed some legitimate Mystery Shopping Programs out there, there are a lot of unscrupulous ones too.

How can you tell the good from the bad? Well one way is that no Mystery Shopper Program should ask you for any money whatsoever. If they hire you, they pay you....what are you paying them for?

The scam is that they will ask you for money and then they will send you a list of companies that MAY hire Mystery Shoppers and you have to find your own work. And if you do find a company to hire you as a Mystery Shopper, they only normally hire people once.

You can find all of these Mystery Shopper jobs for free, you shouldn't have to pay any money. Visit our Mystery Shoppers page for free Mystery Shopper listings. You can join as many shopper organizations as you want, as we previously mentioned they usually only hire you one time. So it's best to join several of them in order to make any money from this job.
