Chain Letter Scams

I think by now everyone knows that a chain letter is a scam. However I actually received one recently that was pretty well done.

Chain Letters that are asking for money are considered to be Pyramid Schemes, however this one that I received found a legal way around the pyramid scheme by adding the text at the bottom "please add me to your mailing list for $1.00". Whether this actually made the chain letter legal or not I don't know but it sounded good to me!

Basically you send $1.00 to everyone mentioned in the chain letter and then you send out 100 copies to people. What? You don't know 100 people? Well that's easy, they were ready to sell you a mailing list of 1000 people for just $30!

Well shoot if you could make all this killer money of 100 people sending you money, imagine what 1000 people will send!

Don't fall for it. Most people won't take the time to send anything and it would be miraculous if you even made your initial investment back.
