A Web Designer is one who designs websites for others. This is the way I started my home-based business. Basically you find word of mouth clients who have their own businesses or identities on the web that they wish to have a site designed for.

Web Design takes considerable training and skill of programs like Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver. It's also important to know HTML and possibly even have some programming skills such as PHP, CGI, CSS, and JavaScript.

Being a Web Designer requires you to be a creative individual with advanced knowledge of computers and the Internet. If you feel that you have these qualities, then you could be a Web Designer!
